Thomas Hampson

Insatiably curious, Thomas Hampson watched and listened to the greatest performers, acceding in this way to the world of song, where words and music unite and become a metaphor for thought. A devotee of "Lieder", he sponsors the Heidelberg Lied Academy. He is therefore not only the ideal ambassador to open a new series of recitals, but also an ardent defender of the place of art in society.

Camilla Nylund

No one will have forgotten her sublime interpretation of Rusalka at the end of the 2012-2013 season. The press, too, were ebullient in their praise of the performance. Reviews included the likes of: “Camilla Nylund is a staggeringly good Rusalka, admirable in her sincerity and finesse.” Without doubt one of the greatest performers of the repertories of Wagner and Strauss, the Finnish soprano adores Lieder and excels in this domain, regretting that she has been unable to devote more of her time to the genre.
