Nina Stemme - Svenska Kammarorkestern
The most in-demand and acclaimed dramatic sopranos, who is the ideal performer of Wagnerian roles, returns to Geneva for one evening. When the media and the fans who follow her all over the world, talk of her, their descriptions are just a pale reflection of what her talent inspires. Her career, which she has built up patiently and intelligently, includes highlights such as an ideal Isolde and a phenomenal Sieglinde and Brünnhilde. The Swedish soprano made her debut in Italy in 1989 playing Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro. In 2003 she won international recognition in the role of Isolde at the Glyndebourne Festival. Another string to her bow is Lied, and it is this that brings her back to the stage of the Opéra des Nations, accompanied by the Swedish Chamber Orchestra. Performing melodies by Gerschwin, Wagner and Weill, Nina Stemme will offer us an insight into one of her favourite genres.
